Complete bio:
Ana Castanho holds a degree in Corporate Communication and a BA in Advertising and Marketing from Escola Superior de Comunicação Social, where she also pursued studies in Journalism and Audiovisual & Multimedia. This academic foundation set the tone for a 20-year multidisciplinary career shaped by strategic thinking, editorial sensibility and cultural awareness.
She began her professional path in cultural events production in 2005, but it was through editorial and cultural platforms such as Rua de Baixo, Público/P3, Agenda Viral, Lux Frágil and Bloop Recordings that her relationship with writing truly took form.
In 2009, she formally moved into copywriting, first at Sair da Casca and later through roles at Winicio, Tux&Gill, Moon Lisboa and GrandUnion/Fullsix.
She went on to work across the creative ecosystems of global brands such as Red Bull, collaborating in initiatives including Red Bull Music Academy, Red Bull Radio and Red Bull House of Arts, and FOX Networks Group, where she joined the brand’s first on-air creative team in Portugal, working as a copywriter and strategist across eight channels and brand experience platforms, including FOX, National Geographic and 24 Kitchen.
Between 2014 and 2018, Ana served on the Board of Clube da Criatividade de Portugal. She was also a tutor at EDIT and a guest lecturer in Creative Writing at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and ESCS.
For nearly seven years, she collaborated with Solid Dogma, part of Studio Vhils, where she created and supervised projects for brands including Netflix, EDP, Super Bock Group, moey!, SEAT, Octant Hotels and SONAE.
In 2022, she officially expanded her practice into ceramics, deepening a more personal artistic language while continuing to work as an independent creative and strategist on projects for brands such as Filmin, Cerveja Musa, Burel Factory, Memmo Hotels and Havelar, as well as in collaboration with agencies including This Is Pacifica, Graficalismo and Plot Content Agency.
Today, as Head of Creative Strategy at Ivity, she continues to steward for brands with cultural relevance, clarity and impact.
