A Porto Design Biennale convida designers e agentes culturais a submeter projetos para o programa Satélite sob o tema da terceira edição: Ser Água: Como fluímos e nos moldamos coletivamente. Para esta edição, propõe-se uma plataforma laboratório transdisciplinar, de observação, pensamento, criatividade e aprendizagem, que atuará em simultâneo nos espectros visível e invisível, orgânico, inorgânico e efémero da água. Os participantes da Open Call de Projetos são convidados a pensar o tema da bienal a partir de seis propostas definidas por Fernando Brízio no texto curatorial.
Mais do que categorizar, pretende-se que os participantes explorem diversas formas de ação, que poderão manifestar-se sob formatos igualmente diversos, tais como debate/colóquio, workshop/formação, exposição/instalação, publicação/edição, intervenção/evento, colaboração/coprodução. A integrarem a programação paralela da bienal, valorizam-se projetos que proponham interpretações críticas do tema geral desta edição, que consigam repensar os formatos tradicionais de apresentação pública e que alarguem a abrangência de públicos alcançados e as formas de com eles interagir.
Para o efeito são concedidos apoios monetários aos 10 projetos selecionados pelo Júri, em função da respetiva natureza, pertinência e dimensão, os quais poderão abranger a execução integral ou parcial dos mesmos. A verba, num montante máximo global de 60.000,00€ [sessenta mil euros], é atribuída em função do orçamento discriminado de cada projeto, em apoios circunscritos aos seguintes patamares: 9.000,00€ [nove mil euros], 6.000,00€ [seis mil euros], 3.000,00€ [três mil euros].

Porto Design Biennale invites designers and cultural agents to submit projects for the Satellite programme of the Porto Design Biennale under the theme of the third edition, Being Water: How we flow together and shape each other. For this edition, a transdisciplinary platform laboratory is proposed, of observation, thought, creativity, and learning, which will act simultaneously in the visible and invisible, organic and inorganic, and ephemeral spectra of water. The participants of the Open Call for Projects are invited to think about the theme of the biennale based on the six proposals defined by Fernando Brízio in the curatorial text.
More than categorising, the goal is to encourage participants to explore different forms of action that can be expressed in a variety of formats, including debates/colloquiums, workshops/trainings, exhibitions/installations, publications/editions, interventions/events, and collaborations/coproductions. In order to integrate the biennale's parallel programme, we value projects that propose critical interpretations of the general theme of this edition, that can rethink the traditional formats of public presentation and that broaden the range of audiences reached and the ways of interacting with them.
For this purpose, monetary support will be granted to the 10 projects selected by the Jury, according to their nature, relevance, and dimension, which may cover their full or partial implementation. The amount, totalling 60,000.00 [sixty thousand Euros], is allocated according to the detailed budget of each project, in support circumscribed to crates of support limited to the following levels: 9,000.00 euros [nine thousand euros], 6.000,00 euros [six thousand euros], 3.000,00 euros [three thousand euros].
